OTR Tyre Curing Chamber

After checking the quality of tyres to ensure that they are suitable for the retreading process, the old tyre material will be removed using a process called buffing. The purpose of this is to prepare the surface of the tyre in order to accept a new tread or pre-cured tread.

OTR Tyre Curing Chamber

In a curing chamber, specific heat and pressure are applied to the built tire, and over time, the bonding layer cures, preventing the new tread from separating from its casing.
